EMS Continuing Education

PresentationThe City of Fairfield is devoted to provide quality continuing education to department staff along with surrounding EMS communities. Our program was implemented in 2003 and has been running strong ever since. The classes are held every other month and routinely are on the third Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Classes are held at: Station 32

We provide a comfortable learning environment, hors d’oeuvres and beverages, and a certification of training. Classes are free of charge to all participants. Our guest speakers consist of professionals in their field and include local doctors, nurses, community health coordinators, and specialty resource personnel. Dr. Justin Coomes is the Medical director at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield.  he earned his medical degree from St. Louis University and completed his residency at the University of Louisville Hospital.  Dr. Commes is a Fellow of the American Academy of Medicine and a member of the AAEP as well as the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine.
