Throughout the year, the Parks and Recreation Department organizes a variety of festivals and community events.

Arts & Crafts Market Vendors
The list of vendors for the 2007 Arts & Crafts Market at September Dayz, Saturday, September 8th starting at noon in Village Green Park and the Fairfield Community Arts Center.

Blood Drives
To ensure that adequate blood supplies are readily on hand for any emergency, the Community Blood Center, the City of Fairfield, and the Parks and Recreation Department sponsor periodic community blood drives at the Fairfield Community Arts Center.

Cruise In on the Green
Enjoy a Classic Car Cruise In on Sunday, July 20th starting at 1 pm. There will be music, food and a vast collection or classic cars parked and displayed around Village Green Park.

Fairfield Idol
The final round of Fairfield Idol took place during Red, White & Kaboom on July 3rd, featuring finalists Morgan Curtner and Leslie Bowen who was the first male finalist since the first year of Fairfield Idol in 2004. Morgan captured the title with an amazing performance prior to Rozzi's Famous Fireworks.

Groovin on the Green
The Summer Concert Series features local and regional bands in the beautiful Village Green Park.

Memorial Day Parade
The City of Fairfield’s Eighth Annual Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday, May 26.

Red, White and Kaboom
Join in the family fun for Fairfield’s annual Independence Day celebration July 3. Festivities will take place at Harbin Park, the launch site for Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks, Village Green Park, and the Fairfield Aquatic Center

September Dayz
September Dayz is a fun-filled, family event celebrating the start of fall and Fairfield's great community spirit. In the spotlight each year are many Fairfield area restaurants, vendors and cultural treasures.

Swingin' on the Green
Our new monthly concert series, Swingin' on the Green, focuses on the sounds of Jazz and Swing and will feature area bands, some of which have previously performed in the Groovin’ on the Green Series.

Village Green Fine Art Fair
Fairfield Parks and Recreation in partnership with Art On Symmes announces a Call to Artists to participate in the Village Green Fine Art Fair located in Fairfield, Ohio at Village Green Park on Saturday, June 21st from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm. Also, the Recycled Art Competition, "Discarded" entries will be showcased.
