Welcome: Mayor & City Council

Buy a brick and honor Fairfield's police officers and firefighters

Many communities throughout the United States have created their own memorials for fallen police officers and firefighters, especially since the tragedy of September 11, 2001, paying tribute to those who have bravely protected the lives of others. Fortunately, the City of Fairfield has never lost anyone in the line of duty, and we hope we never do.

To honor those who have invested time and energy serving the city of Fairfield as a police officer or firefighter, plans are underway to construct a Public Safety Tribute consisting of a bronze monument featuring a police officer, a firefighter and a paramedic holding a young child.  The tribute is planned for the grassy area on the west end of the Fairfield Justice Center facing Pleasant Avenue. The American flag will adorn the site, along with a plaque describing the sculpture, a listing of honorees, landscaping and brick walkways throughout the site.

The Public Safety Tribute is expected to be completed by late 2007/ spring 2008!

BE A PART OF THE PROJECT!  The community and friends of Fairfield are invited to participate in the project by purchasing a commemorative brick, personalized with your individual, family or corporate name, or the name of a friend or loved one! Download a brick order form.

The cost to purchase a commemorative brick is $30 per brick or $50 for two bricks.  The cut-off date for purchasing a brick will be announced closer to the time of completion of the project.

The City of Fairfield reserves the right to reject brick entries that are deemed inappropriate for this project.

Questions regarding the commemorative brick project should be directed to Dena Morsch at 513-867-5383 or dmorsch@fairfield-city.org.  Checks should be made payable to Fairfield Public Safety Service Tribute and mailed to Dena Morsch, 5350 Pleasant Avenue, Fairfield, Ohio 45014.
