Mike Snyder, First Ward

Biography: Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Bachelor's degree in economics from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan; Master's degree in industrial management from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, North Dakota. Fairfield resident since 1981. Married, three children.

Committees: Chairman, Public Utilities Committee; vice chairman, Health, Environment and Drainage Committee; member, Public Safety Committee.

Community involvement: Volunteer and former board member, Radio Reading Services division of the Cincinnati Association for the Blind. Sacred Heart Church Festival committee. City of Fairfield Charter Review Commission, Fairfield Citizens Police Academy. Volunteer camera operator for council meeting broadcasts. Mercy Hospital Fairfield, Parkinson's Disease support group.

Professional: Account manager for Convergys Corporation. Professional voice-over talent in broadcast commercials and industrial training videos.

Marty Judd, Second Ward

Biography: Lifelong resident of Fairfield's second ward. A 1978 graduate of Fairfield High School. One son, Kevin. Currently serving first term on city council.

Committees: Chairman, Public Utilites Committee; vice chair, Parks and Recreation Committee; member, Public Safety Committee.

Community involvement: Fairfield FOPA Lodge #97; Fairfield Kiwanis Club; Butler County Republican Party — Central Committee; Hugh L. Bates Lodge #686; Fairfield citizen police and fire academies.

Mitch Rhodus, Third Ward

Biography: A lifelong resident of Fairfield, I am married to Lois (Bennett) and have a son Brad, a sophomore at Miami University, and a daughter Katie, a senior at Fairfield High School.

Education: Graduate of Fairfield High School class of 1976. Attended Miami University for several years in business and marketing.

Committees: Chairman, Development Services Committee; vice chair, Public Works Committee; member, Public Utilities Committee; Planning Commission member.

Community involvment: Fairfield Rotary Club (board member/membership chair); active Boy Scout leader in district and council event; district Friends of Scouting chairman; Butler County Republican Party executive committee member; Fraternal Order of Police Association; Fairfield City Schools technology committee member; College Hill Presbyterian Church.

Professional: Regional vice president of ESKCO Inc., a Dayton-based national promotional marketing company for the past 16 years. Previously employed by GE Aircraft Engines and Procter & Gamble.

Previous experience: I have spent the past 12 years on the Fairfield Parks and Recreation Board and the past eight years on the Planning Commission.

Terry Senger, Fourth Ward

Biography: Terry Senger and his wife Bambi are lifelong residents of Fairfield's 4th Ward.  Their daughter, Rachel, is a Senior at Fairfield High School and their son, Chad, is a Freshman at Fairfield Freshman School.  Rachel will attend Miami University, Oxford, Ohio beginning in the fall of 2008.

Education: Terry is a graduate of Fairfield High School, the University of Alabama, and completed his Masters degree at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Professional: Terry is employed at Belcan Engineering Corporation specializing in Support Equipment Tooling.  Terry also serves as a Colonel in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.  Terry was deployed with Task Force Katrina in 2005 as the Senior Marine Liaison Officer and was also deployed to Iraq in 2006 as the Nighttime Chief of Operations for the Multi-National Force.

Committees: Terry is currently serving as the Chairman of the Development Services Committee, Vice Chairman of the Finance & Budget Committee, and Member of the Public Safety Committee.  Terry previously served on Fairfield City Council from 1994 to 1997 and served as a member of the Fairfield Board of Education from 2004 to 2006.

Affiliations: Member First St.John United Church of Christ, Fairfield Rotary Club, Hugh L. Bates Lodge #686, and Marine Corps Association.

Tim L. Abbott, Council Member at Large

Biography: Age 40, 15-year resident of Fairfield, married to Kathy, a lifelong resident.

Education: B.S. from University of Cincinnati

Professional: Business Relations Executive, Duke Energy.

Committees: Civil Service Commission.

Community Involvement: Fairfield Rotary, Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, Butler County United Way, Leadership Fairfield 1999, Butler County Republican Party, Treasurer, Butler County Economic Development Corporation.

Tim Meyers, Council Member at Large

Biography: Tim has been married to Jeannie Phalen Meyers for 20 years, and the couple has three children ages 13, 11 and 4. The Meyers family has resided in Fairfield for the past 20 years and are members of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.

Education: B.S. from Illinois State University; MBA in Finance and Marketing from Xavier University. Also obtained Board Certification in Safety Engineering.

Professional: Customer Training Services Manager, GE Aviation.

Committees: Seven years on Fairfield Parks and Recreation Board, the past two as board president.

Community Involvement: Boy Scout Troop 967 Advancement Chairman; volunteer for Children's' Hospital. Recently held the lead role in "Shadows of Time," an original play performed for Fairfield's 50th anniversary celebration.

Mike Oler, Council Member at Large

Biography: Born in Hamilton. A resident of Fairfield since 1971. Married to Carol with three children: Leslie, Susan and David.

Education: Associate in Science from the University of Cincinnati in Traffic and Transportation Management.

Professional: Retired police officer from City of Fairfield; presently part-time Crime Prevention/Public Relations Specialist with the Fairfield Township Police Department.

Committees: Chairman, Community & Public Relations Committee; vice chairman, Public Safety Committee; member, Finance & Budget Committee; council representative on Route 4 Improvement Implementation Committee; council representative on City/School/Township Task Force.

Community service: Fairfield City School District Board of Education, 1990 to 2006 (board member/vice president/president); Butler Technology and Career Development Schools Board of Education, 1992 to 2006 (board member/vice president/president); past member of the Fairfield City Planning Commission; past member One Way Farm Board of Directors.
