6. OLD BUSINESS (A) DEVELOPMENT SERVICES COMMITTEE (1) & Ordinance to amend Sections 1187.02, 1187.07, 1187.08 and 1187.10 of Ordinance No. 166-84, the Codified Ordinances of Fairfield, Ohio relative to signs.
(B) PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE (1) & Ordinance authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with Path Master, Inc. for the purchase of replacement traffic signal controllers for the closed loop traffic system and declaring an emergency.
(C) COMMUNITY & PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE (1) Simple Motion: Reappointment of Steven L. Sawdai as Fairfield’s representative on the Butler County Board of Health for a term of office effective March 14, 2008 and expiring on March 13, 2011. (2) Simple Motion: Appointment of residents to Fairfield’s boards and commissions effective April 1, 2008. (D) PARKS, RECREATION & ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE (1) & Ordinance authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with Helena Chemical Company for the purchase of fertilizer and chemicals for use within the Golf Maintenance and Park Maintenance Divisions and declaring an emergency.
(E) FINANCE & BUDGET COMMITTEE (1) & Appropriation Ordinance (Contractual Items) - $35,000 purchase and installation of replacement traffic signal controllers for the closed loop traffic system.
(2) & Appropriation Ordinance (Non-Contractual Items) - $28,000 traffic signal upgrade at Pleasant/Wessel (under existing contract with Wagner-Smith); $18,267 upgrade of preemption confirmation lights; $15,000 replacement of backwash pump at Water Treatment Plant; $8,000 for preparation of architectural drawings and contract plans for construction of a biosolids storage building at the Wastewater Treatment Plant; $20,675 for miscellaneous furniture, fixtures and equipment for the Fairfield Greens South Trace Golf Course Club House.
7. NEW BUSINESS (A) PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE (1) Ordinance to authorize the City Manager to enter into a three (3) year contract with Prus Construction for the 2008-2010 Concrete Repair and Replacement Work.
(2) Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a construction agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) for the State Route 4 (SR4) and Crescentville Road Improvements and declaring an emergency.
(B) DEVELOPMENT SERVICES COMMITTEE (1) Ordinance authorizing the City Manager to execute and file an application for a Transportation Enhancement Grant for improvements on Route 4 and declaring an emergency.
(2) Ordinance to authorize the City Manager to execute and submit all documents required with the Ohio Department of Development for the creation of a Community Reinvestment Area.
(C) PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE (1) Simple Motion: Motion requesting that a hearing be held on the liquor permit application in the name of Adom African Restaurant, 5353 Dixie Highway Suite W (Permit Class: D2 & D3). (D) COMMUNITY & PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE (1) Simple Motion: Motion appointing members to the Charter Review Commission for 2008 and 2009. (E) PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMITTEE (1) Resolution permitting a Fairfield property owner to receive City of Hamilton, Ohio water and declaring an emergency.
(2) Ordinance to authorize the City Manager to enter into a contract with Eimco Water Technologies for re-building the drive assembly for a water softening tank at the Water Treatment Plant and declaring an emergency.
(F) FINANCE & BUDGET COMMITTEE (1) Appropriation Ordinance (Contractual Items) - $700,000 Concrete Repair and Replacement Work for 2008; $303,261 State Route 4 and Crescentville Road Improvements; $73,000 rebuilding of water softening tank/Water Treatment Plant.
(2) Appropriation Ordinance (Non-Contractual Items) - $175,000 purchase of road salt (under existing contract with Cargill, Inc.); $11,016 traffic signal design/Mack Road @ Shearwater Drive; $10,000 engineering services for Waterworks Park/Nuxhall Pavilion Project.
