6. Old Business (A) DEVELOPMENT SERVICES COMMITTEE Terry Senger, Chairman; Mike Snyder, Vice Chairman; Tim Meyers, Member (1) Ordinance to amend Sections 1187.02, 1187.07, 1187.08 and 1187.10 of Ordinance No. 166-84, the Codified Ordinances of Fairfield, Ohio relative to signs.
(2) Ordinance implementing Sections 3735.65 through 3735.70 of the Ohio Revised Code, establishing and describing the boundaries of community reinvestment area in the City of Fairfield, Ohio, designating a housing officer to administer the program, and creating a Community Reinvestment Housing Council and a Tax Incentive Review Council.
7. New Business (A) PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE Mike Oler, Chairman; Marty Judd, Vice Chairman; Terry Senger, Member (1) Simple Motion: Motion requesting that no hearing be held on the liquor permit application in the name of That One Place LLC, DBA That One Place, 6435 Dixie Highway (Permit Class: D5). (2) Ordinance authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with Statewide Ford for the purchase of two (2) police sedans and declaring an emergency.
(3) Ordinance authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with 32 Ford/Mercury for the purchase of three (3) Ford Expeditions for use in the Police Department and declaring an emergency.
(B) COMMUNITY & PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE (1) Simple Motion: Motion appointing Stewart Leonard to the Fair Housing Board for a term of office beginning immediately and expiring on March 31, 2011. (C) PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE (1) Ordinance authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Duke Energy for the utility relocation for the State Route 4 and Crescentville Road Improvement Project and declaring an emergency.
(D) FINANCE & BUDGET COMMITTEE (1) Appropriation Ordinance (Contractual) - $273,311 for the State Route 4 and Crescentville Road Improvements – Utility Relocation.
(2) Ordinance to authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement with the Fairfield Community Foundation to provide funding to support the Foundation’s scholarship and other programs.
(3) Ordinance to authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement with the Fairfield Tempo Club for the Summer Theatre Program.
(4) Ordinance to authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement with the Hamilton Fairfield Symphony Orchestra for two summer concerts.
(5) Ordinance to authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement with the Partners in Prime, formerly Senior Citizens, Inc. for ARK Transportation and other services to the residents of Fairfield, Ohio.
(6) Ordinance establishing salaries for certain exempt and salaried employees of the City of Fairfield, Ohio and repealing previous ordinances and declaring an emergency.
(7) Ordinance to amend Section 163.18 (d) of Ordinance No. 166-84, the Codified Ordinances of Fairfield, Ohio relative to “pick-up” provisions relating to the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS).
(8) Ordinance to authorize the City Manager to enter into a contract with Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 166 for wages, hours and terms and conditions of employment for the police officer bargaining unit and declaring an emergency.
(9) Ordinance to authorize the City Manager to enter into a contract with Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 166 for wages, hours and terms and conditions of employment for the sergeants and lieutenants bargaining unit and declaring an emergency.
(10) Ordinance to establish salaries and hourly rates for certain salaried and hourly employees of the City of Fairfield, Ohio and to authorize and limit the numbers and types of certain employees, to repeal Ordinance No. 44-08 and all amendments thereto and declaring an emergency.
(11) Appropriation Ordinance (Contractual Items) - $75,902 for purchase of three (3) Ford Expeditions for use by the Police Department; $43,113 for purchase of two police sedans for use by the Police Department.
(12) Appropriation Ordinance (Non-Contractual Items) - $17,545 preliminary engineering study for Symmes Road CSX Overpass; $12,400 Yale Tire Forklift; $5,000 for various NPDES Phase II storm water system expenses; $22,800 for the I-275/Exit 39 Preliminary Engineering Study; $24,816 design contract for the River Road Widening adjacent to the Bolton Water Plant; $5,857 replacement of two interim LED street signs; $23,970 purchase/installation of Stellar Shuttle Loader and Dump Body; $20,250 miscellaneous fixtures/equipment for audio/video upgrades in the Community Arts Center.
