Legislation Summary No. 08-2008

Following is a summary of legislation adopted by the Fairfield City Council on April 28, 2008. Ord. 47-08 Ordinance to amend Sections 1187.02, 1187.07, 1187.08 and 1187.10 of Ordinance No. 166-84, the Codified Ordinances of Fairfield, Ohio relative to signs.

Ord. 48-08 Ordinance implementing Sections 3735.65 through 3735.70 of the Ohio Revised Code, establishing and describing the boundaries of Community Reinvestment Area in the City of Fairfield, Ohio, designating a housing officer to administer the program, and creating a Community Reinvestment Housing Council and a Tax Incentive Review Council.

Ord. 49-08 Contract with Statewide Ford for the purchase of two (2) police sedans.

Ord. 50-08 Contract with 32 Ford/Mercury for the purchase of three (3) Ford Expeditions for use in the Police Department.

Ord. 51-08 Agreement with Duke Energy for utility relocation for the State Route 4 and Crescentville Road Improvement Project.

Ord. 52-08 2008 Budget Amendment: $273,311 for utility relocation for State Route 4 and Crescentville Improvements.

Ord. 53-08 Agreement with the Fairfield Community Foundation to provide funding to support the Foundation’s scholarship and other programs.

Ord. 54-08 Agreement with the Fairfield Tempo Club for the Summer Theatre Program.

Ord. 55-08 Agreement with the Hamilton Fairfield Symphony Orchestra for two summer concerts.

Ord. 56-08 Agreement with Partners in Prime formerly Senior Citizens, Inc. for Ark Transportation and other services to the residents of Fairfield, Ohio.

Ord. 57-08 Wage and Salary Ordinance for certain exempt and salaried employees.

Ord. 58-08 Ordinance to amend Section 163.18(d) of Ordinance 166-84, relative to “Pick-up” provisions relating to Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS).

Ord. 59-08 Contract with Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 166 for wages, hours and terms and conditions of employment for the Police Officer Bargaining Unit.

Ord. 60-08 Contract with Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 166 for wages, hours and terms and conditions of employment for the Sergeants and Lieutenants Bargaining Unit.

Ord. 61-08 Ordinance to establish salaries and hourly rates for certain salaried and hourly employees of the City of Fairfield, Ohio and to authorize and limit the numbers and types of certain employees, to repeal Ordinance No. 44-08 and all amendments thereto.

Ord. 62-08 2008 Budget Amendments: $75,902 for three Ford Expeditions; $43,113 for two Ford sedans.

Ord. 63-08 2008 Budget Amendments: $5,000 for NPDES Phase II Storm Water Expenses; $23,970 for Shuttler loader; $17,545 for preliminary engineering for Seward Road/CSX Overpass; $22,800 for I-275 Exit 39 Interchange Study; $24,816 for design work for River Road widening; $12,400 for Yale tire forklift; $20,250 for miscellaneous fixtures for Community Arts Center; and $5,857 for replacement signs.

Res. 7-08 Resolution objecting to the renewal of the liquor permit for Greater Cincinnati Entertainment, LLC also known as Fairfield Tavern.
