Legislation Summary No. 10-2007

Following is a summary of legislation adopted by the Fairfield City Council on May 14, 2007. Ord. 67-07 Ordinance amending Chapter 521 of Ordinance No. 166-84, the Codified Ordinances of Fairfield, Ohio to add a new section 521.18 relative to outdoor wood-fired boilers.

Ord. 68-07 Agreement with Metroparks of Butler County, Ohio for the construction of the Phase 2/Miami-Erie Canal Bike/Hike Path.

Ord. 69-07 Contract with Fuller Mossbarger Scott and May (FMSM) Engineers to perform project management services associated with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) grant buy-out program.

Ord. 70-07 Contract with Burgess & Niple for bridge inspection services for 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Ord. 71-07 Contract with International Truck & Engine Corporation for the purchase of one (1) cab and chassis.

Ord. 72-07 Revised contract with Michael Schuster Associates (MSA) for architectural design services to include the interior renovations to the Municipal Building including a redesign of the Council Chambers and Workroom/Conference Room.

Ord. 73-07 Contract with Jones and Henry Engineers, Inc. for engineering support and design services for a water line replacement project.

Ord. 74-07 Contract with Barry Brown Paving for roadway improvement to Groh Lane.

Ord. 75-07 Ordinance amending the wage and salary ordinance to provide for a staffing change in the Public Works Fleet Division

Ord. 76-07 2007 Budget Amendments: $75,000 for contract services for Municipal Building renovation; $55,334 for purchase of cab and chassis; $39,600 for project management for FEMA grant; $28,500 for engineering for water line replacement; and $245,000 for Groh Lane improvements.

Ord. 77-07 2007 Budget Amendments: $25,000 for 2007 Curb Inlet Program; $23,819 for purchase of 2 leaf collection boxes and 1 flatbed; $20,350 for river road widening; $6,900 for door replacement at Wastewater Plant; $25,000 for EMS Medical Director Contract Renewal; $4,980 for microphones for preemption system; and $4,000 for OEPA review fees for auxiliary generator.
