Staff Technical Review

STR is a technical committee that reviews development plans for all projects within the City of Fairfield, except for individual residential lots. Plans are reviewed for compliance with the Building and Zoning Code, storm water detention and other related planning and development items. No permit will be issued until the plans have been approved by STR. The average review time is three weeks; however, depending on the scale and complexity of the project the time frame, could be shorter or longer.

All of the items on the development plan submission checklist need to appear on the plan.

Meetings

STR meets every Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. This is not a public meeting. Comments from the review will be mailed to the applicant following the meeting.

Submitting plans

Three sets of plans are required to be submitted to the Building Department one week prior to the Wednesday meeting. Any plans that need to be resubmitted must follow the same procedure.
