| Welcome: Finance: Pay water/sewer bill Utility payment optionsCity ordinance allows 20 days to pay the net amount on the bill. A delinquent bill is sent to all customers whose accounts are not paid by the due date. Due dates are arranged to fall on Wednesdays, depending upon which route your residence falls under. For example, bills for residents on route one will be due on the first Wednesday; bills for residents on route two will be due on the second Wednesday; and so on. Due dates never fall on weekends or holidays. Your bill payment options are: Mail payments: The Utility Billing & Collection Division has opted to utilize a lockbox service with National City Bank, so that when you mail your payment in it will go directly to the bank account designated specifically for the City of Fairfield. Payments may be mailed to: Fairfield Utilities Online payments: City of Fairfield utility bills may be paid online with eCheck, Visa or Mastercard. The service is free. Residents simply need to enter their 10-digit utility account number to access their account and proceed through the payment process. <<LINK TO UTILITY PAYMENTS >>. BillPayer 2000: BillPayer 2000 can automatically pay your City of Fairfield utility bill from your checking account on each due date. The BillPayer 2000 costs less than checks, and you can let the service automatically pay a bill on the due date or you can stop a payment by calling BillPayer 2000's automated system 24 hours a day. To begin BillPayer 2000 services, call 1-800-991-7771. Drive-thru drop off: Payments are accepted at the Utility Billing and Collection office's drive-thru window from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The drive-thru is located on the south side of the Municipal Building. After-hours payment by night depository: A night depository allows water bill payment 24 hours a day. The box is located on the south side of the Municipal Building. Payments will be posted the next business day. Payment agreement: If additional time is needed to pay a bill, arrangements for a payment schedule may be set up by signing a payment agreement at the Utility Billing and Collection office.
