The Information Technology Department is responsible for meeting the city’s technology needs, maintaining the security of the city's computer networks and providing computer, telephone, and electronics support to all City departments and personnel.

The city's IT professionals perform a variety of services including:

• Design of network infrastructure
• Hardware installation, maintenance and troubleshooting
• Software acquisition, installation, support and training
• Data management and storage
• Support of information systems and services
• Telephone / voice communications
• Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• Disaster recovery planning
• Support and maintenance of the city web site and intranet
• Installation of computer equipment in police and emergency vehicles and specialty technology devices for all City departments
• Equipment monitoring and management

Information Technolgy is a divison of the Finance Department, and is supervised by Joseph Waldmann, Information Technology Manager.
