Fire Department Units
The Fairfield Fire Department provides around the clock staffing at three locations. The Department employs 18 full-time firefighter/paramedics with support from 44 part-time staff members and five full-time senior officers.

The Fire Investigations Unit, headed by the department's deputy chief, is charged with the responsibility to investigate the origin, cause and circumstances of undetermined, incendiary, suspicious fires, along with all fires where serious injury or death occur.Jazz, Department mascot
