Teacher and Astronaut Christa McAuliffe said, "I touch the future. I teach." On November 13, the Fairfield Community Foundation honored 15 of our local outstanding educators at its annual meeting at Receptions. The evening's emcee was John Lomax of Channel 12, and more than $20,000 was raised. Each teacher received a glass award, flowers and a canvas tote filled to the brim with the gifts donated by local merchants.
