Parks and Recreation staff

Meet the department and division heads who oversee the City's Parks and Recreation programs. Click on the names below for more details about the positions and the people serving in them.

Director - James A. Bell
Jim develops and directs a comprehensive program of recreation and leisure services and operates and oversees the operation and maintenance of City parks and recreational facilities.

Facilities Manager - Bob Schappacher
Bob manages all Parks and Recreation facilities, which include the golf courses, Marsh Lake, Harbin Park, Aquatic Center and The Village Green area.

Fairfield Community Arts Center Manager - Heidi E. Schiller
Heidi oversees the day-to-day operations and activities of the Fairfield Community Arts Center with specific attention to arts programming and rentals.

Golf Professional - David Hartman
Dave manages and operates Fairfield’s public golf courses, North and South Trace.

Golf Professional - Keith Crutcher
Keith is in charge of the daily operations at the Fairfield Greens North Trace public golf course and assists with the same at the South Trace.

Parks/Events Manager - Ben Strickler
Ben plans and oversees the special events offered through the Parks & Recreation Department, including the Groovin’ on the Green Concert Series, September Dayz, Swingin’ on the Green, Easter Egg Hunt, Pumpkin Patch and many others.

Recreation Manager - Lucinda Lewellyn
Cindi is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive recreation program for the benefit of Fairfield’s citizens.

Senior Adult Recreation Programmer - Brad Williams
Brad is responsible for organizing and supervising a wide variety of activities and recreational opportunities for the 55 Plus program.

Volunteer Coordinator - Karen Wittmer
Karen works to recruit and retain volunteers for Parks and Recreation programs and positions at the Community Arts Center.
