Brad is responsible for organizing and supervising a wide variety of activities and recreational opportunities for the 55 Plus program. He also organizes and supervises a variety of arts & crafts classes at the Community Arts Center. Background: Brad is a 2001 Graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelors of Science in Recreation Studies and is certified to be a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. Brad has been working with the City of Fairfield since 2004. Prior to working with the city, he was employed at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio, as a Recreation Therapist and for Heartland of Kettering Nursing Home as a Recreation Programmer and Interim Activities Director. He also interned with the Charlotte Institute for Rehabilitation and the Adaptive Sports and Adventures Program in Charlotte, NC, where he worked primarily with individuals with spinal cord injuries. Brad was a 2007 First Quarter STAR Award winner. Brad serves on the Butler County Regional Transit Authority Board of Trustees. He was a member of Leadership Fairfield Class VII. He is also a member of Ohio Parks and Recreation Association and the National Recreation and Parks Association. Personal interests/family: Brad and his wife Jennifer were married in 2004, and are the proud parents of Benjamin, who was born in June of 2007. In addition to spending quality time with his growing family, Brad is a "sports fanatic" and enjoys playing basketball, golf, softball and fishing. Last updated: 1/25/2008 |
