Tagged fish and other prize fish

Only two prize fish per fishing permit are permitted.

All prize fish must be released unharmed in order to claim the prize.

Any violation of the park rules and regulations will disqualify visitors from the prize fish contests.

All prize monies will be paid by check from the City of Fairfield with receipt of check in approximately two to three weeks.

Bounty fish

All fish weighing over 25 pounds remain the property of Marsh Park. Fish will be purchased at $1 per pound (25 to 49 pounds) and $2 per pound (50+ pounds), at the discretion of park staff.

All bounty fish must be weighed immediately and released unharmed. Do not put bounty fish on a stringer or in a fish basket.

Daily bag/possession limit & length limits

A total of eight fish may be kept per admission ticket, excluding carp and bluegill.

Fishermen catching or possessing any fish over the daily bag/possession limit will be charged $2 per fish.

No purchasing or trading of fish will be permitted.

All fish must be checked in at the bait house prior to leaving the park.
