Muskopf Preserve is a nature preserve, currently an oasis for nature and wildlife. However, in the future, the Parks and Recreation Department plans to seek funding to create a bike trail at the top of the preserve's ridge.

The land was a gift to the City of Fairfield at the time when Village Green Park development was getting under way.
