Village Green Fine Art Fair

Art On Symmes and the Parks & Recreation Department have joined forces to gather artists from all over this region to offer their work to you. Come out and see the best in show, help chose the People’s Choice Award winner, and see entries for the ‘Discarded’ Recycled Art Competition. Food will be available for purchase from Fairfield Pizza and there will be live music on the amphitheater stage throughout the day, with the smooth jazz sounds of:

• 11 am to 1:45 pm - The Monika Herzig Trio
• 2:15 to 5 pm - Class Act Rhythm Section

Awards
Two independent judges will evaluate the work of each artist and together they will select 4 award winners on the day of the show. Scoring is based on originality and creativity, design, technique, and craftsmanship. Awards are given for outstanding work in two categories: Fine Art and Fine Craft.

First Place:  $200
Honorable Mention:  refund of entry fee
People’s Choice:  $50

This Recycled Art Competition will showcase the creativity of Fairfield and the surrounding communities.  Create original artwork using discarded, reused or recycled materials.

The Artwork will be showcased at the Village Green Fine Arts Fair on Saturday, June 21, 2008.  The winning pieces will be displayed at Art On Symmes and the Fairfield Community Arts Center throughout the summer. Submissions will be on display from:
