Manager, Construction Services - David H. Hoffman

David oversees design and construction process as well as project management of public works infrastructure improvements, and the annual multimillion-dollar capital improvement budget for infrastructure improvements, with supervision responsibilities of daily divisional activities and operations.

Background:

David has served as Construction Services Manager since 1993. He previously served as Assistant Civil Engineer with the City of Lancaster, California, and previous to that with the City of Palmdale, California as a Junior Civil Engineer, and prior to that as a Public Works Inspector for the City of Palmdale, California for a total combined experience in Municipal Government of well over 21 years of service.

David has a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology, from Northern Arizona University, a AAS in Civil Engineering Technology from Phoenix Community College, and AAS in Electronic Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.

He has been awarded the Fairfield STAR Award, and the American Society for Public Administration Public Administrator of the Year for Early Career Accomplishment.

He is a member of EANGUS (Enlisted Association of the National Guard), AFSA (Air Force Sergeants Association), APWA (American Public Works Association), CMAA (Construction Management Association of America), and ASPA.(American Society for Public Administration).

Personal interests/family:

As a member of the Ohio Air National Guard, David participates in several community outreach programs, which includes visiting local orphanages to attend to the needs of less fortunate children, annually volunteers to participate in the annual Memorial Day, and Veterans Day Parades. He has been actively involved with assisting the local Free Store Food Bank in the monumental task of feeding thousands of Tri-State needy/homeless families and individuals.
