About the ArtistsA native of Holdrege, Nebraska, George W. Lundeen was a Fulbright-Hayes Scholar studying at the Academia de Belle Arte in Florence, Italy. He holds a masters in Fine Arts from the University of Illinois and a bachelor of arts from Hastings College in Nebraska. Lundeen established his sculpting studio in Loveland, Colorado in the mid-1970s where he currently lives and works. He has been commissioned to sculpt portraits and interpretive works alike for universities, municipalities, foundations and corporations. Lundeen is a member of the National Academy of Design and the National Sculpture Society. Native Floridian W. Stanley “Sandy” Proctor has a national reputation as a professional sculptor of the highest caliber. In recent years, Proctor has been the featured master sculptor at the Easton Waterfowl Festival in Maryland; the Southeastern Art Exposition in South Carolina; and the Wildlife Arts Festival in Georgia. Prior to concentrating in bronze sculpture, Proctor was an accomplished painter and stone carver whose works have been displayed at museums of national and international recognition. Proctor is equally comfortable modeling animals or people in any size, and he has completed many public and private commissions. Glenna Goodacre was born in Texas and began her art career there, graduated from Colorado College and studied at the Art Students League in New York. Before creating her first three-dimensional work, Goodacre had a successful career for many years as a painter. Her pieces are in numerous private, corporate, municipal, national and international collections. She has over 40 bronze portraits in public collections in the United States. Today, Goodacre is most readily recognized as the sculptor of the Vietnam Women’s Memorial at the Vietnam “Wall” in Washington, D.C. Gary Lee Price was born in 1955 in Twin Falls, Idaho, and attended grade school and high school in Montpelier, Idaho. He went on to study at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho, then studied in Jerusalem, Israel for six months through Brigham Young University's Study Abroad program. During his formal education, Price focused on the human figure which he feels the most comfortable sculpting. In 1982, he earned his B.F.A in painting and drawing. In 1981, Price committed himself to being a full-time artist and has been self-employed ever since. |
