Bypass 4 Improvement Project - UPDATE

Motorists are advised that the intersection of Route 4 and Bypass 4 will be reconfigured as part of the Bypass 4 Improvement Project (between Port Union and Route 4). Traffic will be switched from the existing pavement to the new pavement. The new diversion road between Bypass 4 and Route 4 will be opened to traffic at this time. Please note that left turns will not be permitted at the Route 4 and Bypass 4 intersection from this point forward. The new traffic patterns will be delineated with pavement markings and signage both overhead and ground mounted. Message boards will be placed on southbound and northbound Route 4 to further advise motorists of the change. The switching of traffic was scheduled for the night of January 11, 2012; due to pending weather conditions, the date has been moved up to tonight (the night of January 10, 2012) beginning at 8:00 p.m.
