After 60 years in business, Fairfield Pharmacy is moving a couple of blocks to a larger space at the corner of Nilles and Bibury, across from the YMCA. The new space, scheduled to be open this summer, offers better exposure, more space for products, and a convenient drive through.

Rolled Alloys, Inc. is a specialty metal products manufacturer with 18 locations across North America, Europe and Asia. It identified an 8-acre site on Thunderbird Drive in Fairfield to construct a new 65,000 square foot facility. Total investment in the project will exceed $5.5 million, with 34 jobs to be created and retained. The City assisted the project with CRA property tax incentive. Construction has started and should be completed by late 2012.

Kobe Japanese Restaurant is currently renovating a vacant storefront at 6679 Dixie Highway for a planned spring opening. More information is coming shortly.

The Waffle House at the corner of State Route 4 and Nilles Road is scheduled to be demolished and rebuilt. The owners report that the location is prime, so they want to upgrade and modernize the facility.
