Acclaimed Odissi teacher, Jhelum Paranjape performs one of the eight classical dance forms of India.

Jhelum Paranjape dedicated herself to the art of Odissi dance, starting with her training with the doyen of Odissi dance, Padmavibhushan Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra. Actively performing since 1983, she also runs one of the leading dance schools in India, Smitalay, dedicated to the memory of her childhood friend and Bollywood actress, Smita Patil.
