The City of Fairfield Fire Dept. continues to offer FREE CPR/AED classes to the community and local businesses. The program was changed in 2008 when it switched from using the American Heart Association (AHA) to the Health and Safety Institute (HSI) curriculum. HSI allows for flexibility and customization of the provided programs along with decreased financial needs while providing the most current research/recommendations in CPR.
The City of Fairfield Fire Dept. offers 2 different types of courses. The first is called CPR Pro and is for the professional healthcare provider such as Nurses, Doctors, EMT's and immediate medical staff. The second is called CPR Basic which is recommended for the lay person or workplace and caters to industry and community needs. We offer both programs on an "as needed" basis which requires at least 3 participants to hold a class. All classes are held at Fire Station 32 located at 6540 Dixie Hwy in Fairfield and are available seven days a week with catered starting times depending on your needs. You may find more information about the programs by visiting the HSI website at www.hsi.com or by contacting Lt. Jamie Viers at 513-858-8306.
