Marsh Fishing Lake

Fairfield’s fishing lake will open the weekend of Friday March 5th for it’s thirteenth season. The lake is open weekends only until Friday March 26th, 2010. Then the lake is open daily, if in doubt, call the bait house at 858-1685. Bait and some fishing equipment are available near the parking lot and entrance on East River Road. The park is located at 6440 River Road, Fairfield OH 45014.

Customer Appreciation Weekend

For the Labor Day weekend beginning Saturday, September 4 and ending on Monday, September 6, the City of Fairfield will be having a customer appreciation weekend at Marsh Park.  The first 50, paying fisherman for each day will receive a free gift.  No free gifts will be issued Saturday, September 4, until late afternoon when the overnight fishing crowd starts to come in.

Youth Fishing Tournament
On the following dates the Marsh Park Fishing Lake will be having a Youth Fishing Tournament. It will be held on the 2nd Saturday of the month for the summer season. The dates are the following June 12th, July 10th, and August 14th. It will be held from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm. The price of admission will be the entry fee, which is $5.00 for all kids under 15 years old. There will be prizes given out for the winners.

All Night Fishing
On the following weekends Marsh Lake will remain open for the entire weekend. Marsh Lake will open at 6:00 am on Friday and will not close until 9:30 pm on Sunday. The following weekends Marsh will remain open, Friday May 28th – Sunday May 30th, and all Friday’s & Saturday’s in June, July and August. The lake will also be open all night Friday September 3rd and on Saturday September 4th, September 11th and September 18th. Regular general admission will be charged again every 12 hours that you are at the fishing lake. Youth Learn to Fish
Any Fairfield youth 8 years or older that would like to learn to fish can call Marsh Lake to set up an appointment with the Fishing Lake Manager. The dates will be the 1st Saturday of the month in June, July and August. The dates are as follows: June 5th, July 10th, and August 7th. The time will be limited from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. The child will be responsible for paying for admission to get into the lake. The lesson will last around 1 hour.
