Social Organization DirectoryAmerican Association of Retired Persons, Hamilton-Fairfield Area Through their work in AARP Chapters, AARP members are demonstrating the power of volunteer service to help address key issues in their community. AARP Chapters are nongovernmental, nonpartisan, non-profit community service organizations. Antique and Classic Car Club of Butler County Home of the oldest and largest locally sponsored Antique and Classic Car Parade in the United States. Fairfield Senior Center You can get in a little exercise, check your blood pressure, sing a couple of songs, improve your corn hole tossing skills, play cards or bingo and enjoy a watercolor class, plus eat lunch with your friends at the Fairfield Senior Center. Programs are scheduled Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Birthdays are celebrated once a month and there are other special events and day trips available. Fairfield Women The Fairfield Women is a nonprofit organization that was established in 1960 and is dedicated to promoting goodwill throughout the community by charitable deeds; offering stimulating social and educational programs and promoting fellowship among its members. Hamilton-Fairfield Newcomers and Neighbors Club Meetings include a luncheon and business meeting. The group has several satellite groups including: an antique group, a book club, a card group, a lunch group and a dinner group. Italian American Society Jaycees MOMS Club of Fairfield The MOMS Club is a national support group for mothers who stay home with their children, including those who have home-based businesses or who work part-time but are home with their children during the day. The MOMS Club of Fairfield, Ohio offers a wide-range of activities, including monthly meetings, guest speakers, various children playgroups, moms' night out, holiday parties, park days, mom-n-tot lunch and family night out. The club also performs service projects benefiting women and children in our community. Senior Lounge at the Community Arts Center The Fairfield Community Art Center’s attractive Senior Lounge is the place to learn, stay active and make new friends. Activities include daily games, special events, day trips, classes, fitness opportunities and more. Widowed Persons Service The WPS offers social opportunities for widowed persons. The group gathers on Wednesday evenings for dinner out followed by card games. Meetings times are posted in the Hamilton Journal News. |
