Volunteer Award Nominations Open

The City of Fairfield recognizes and appreciates the need for volunteers and hopes that you will in celebrating their accomplishments. Click here for an awards packet to nominate a special individual, group, organization or business who has given generously of their time and talent to make the Fairfield community a better place to live. Please take a moment to thoughtfully consider the following award opportunities:

All nominations should be submitted by 5:00 pm on Friday, March 30, 2012 to the Volunteer Office at the Fairfield Community Arts Center, 411 Wessel Drive, Fairfield, OH, ATTN Ben Strickler. Nominations may also be e-mailed to bstrickler@fairfield-city.org or faxed to 513-867-6070.

If you are interested in volunteering, we have opportunities for you. People volunteer for a variety of reasons. Some volunteer to gain job experience, some to learn new skills, some to be with other people, and some to feel useful and needed. Make a Difference Day
This annual campaign offers local families a chance to help meet the needs of area charities and outreaches by donating needed supplies.

RASKALS - May 5, 2012
Have you ever wanted to get involved in your community, but didn’t know how? RASKALS, Random Acts of Simple Kindness Affecting Local Seniors, is a program that not only allows you to help out our local Senior Citizens, but helps get you out and about in our community.  We are looking for several individuals or groups to make our next event a huge success. Click here for the Volunteer Form or call the Volunteer Office at (513) 867-5348.
 

Working with our Children’s program with such programs as the Summer Children’s Theater, SMART club (art program), Little Naturalists, Friday Field Trips

Getting involved with seasonal events for our Parks and Recreation Department, such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Pumpkin Patch, Holly Days, Father / Daughter Dance, Mother / Son Dance, Mom and Me for Tea

Working with Senior Citizens by volunteering in our Senior Lounge

Ushering for our Theater in the Community Arts Center

Delivering interdepartmental mail for the City
