Heidi oversees all arts and programs for the Parks and Recreation Department, including the day-to-day operations and activities at the Fairfield Community Arts Center. She develops the budget, makes long-range plans, supervises marketing and publicity, manages fundraising and grant efforts, curates the art gallery, oversees rentals, and provides supervision for the artistic direction of the programming at the FCAC.
Heidi is a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) through National Parks and Recreation Association and a member of Ohio Parks and Recreation Association and the National Recreation and Parks Association.
Before moving to Ohio in 2005, Heidi was the Managing Director for the Pensacola Little Theatre / Pensacola Cultural Center in her hometown of Pensacola, Florida. She holds a BA from the University of West Florida, a MFA in Directing from the University of Hawaii, and has more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of community and college theatre. She has won numerous community awards for directing, acting, costume design, and set design, including recent awards from the Ohio Community Theatre Association and ACT Cincinnati in both acting and directing.
Heidi is the 2014-15 President for the Rotary Club of Fairfield, Sergeant of Arms starting July 2015 and Interact Chair since 2009. She is Secretary for the Ohio Arts Presenters Network, member of the state Conference Committee, and a panel speaker at the 2010 Conference in Columbus. Heidi currently serves as Treasurer for the Board of Directors of Fairfield Footlighters and is a past Board member of the Hamilton-Fairfield Symphony Orchestra. She is a 2007 graduate of Leadership Fairfield.
She received a quarterly STAR Award in 2008 for her work with Fairfield High School drama.
Heidi and her husband, Robert, live in Miamisburg and have one son, Evan Matthew.
When she has time, Heidi likes to perform on stage, both singing and acting. Through her college studies, she has more than 80 hours of training in Stage Combat, which she used in 2010 as Fight Choreographer for Fairfield Footlighters productions of I Hate Hamlet and Grapes of Wrath. She plays the piano and enjoys reading, computer games and travel - when she has the time.
