Heidi oversees all arts and programs for the Parks and Recreation Department, including the day-to-day operations and activities at the Fairfield Community Arts Center. She develops the budget, makes long-range plans, supervises marketing and publicity, manages fundraising and grant efforts, curates the art gallery, oversees rentals, and provides supervision for the artistic direction of the programming at the FCAC.
Before moving to Ohio in 2005, Heidi was the Managing Director for the Pensacola Little Theatre / Pensacola Cultural Center, in her hometown of Pensacola, Florida. She holds a BA from the University of West Florida, a MFA in Directing from the University of Hawaii, and has more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of community and college theatre. She has won numerous community awards for costume design, set design, directing, and acting, including recent awards from the Ohio Community Theatre Association and ACT Cincinnati in both acting and directing.
Heidi is a past Board member of the Hamilton-Fairfield Symphony Orchestra and currently serves as Treasurer for the Board of Directors of Fairfield Footlighters and volunteer Stage Director. She is a member of the Community Based Arts Centers coalition sponsored by ArtsWave and serves as Interact Chair for Fairfield Rotary. She is a member of the Ohio Arts Presenters Network, serving on the 2010, 2011, 2012 Conference Committees, and was a panel speaker at the 2010 Conference in Columbus. She is a 2007 graduate of Leadership Fairfield.
She received a quarterly STAR Award in 2008 for her work with Fairfield High School drama.
Heidi and her husband, Robert, have one son, Evan Matthew who is currently a very active band member with Miamisburg High School.
When she has time, Heidi likes to perform on stage, both singing and acting. Through her college studies, she has more than 80 hours of training in Stage Combat, which she used in 2010 as Fight Choreographer for Fairfield Footlighters productions of I Hate Hamlet and Grapes of Wrath. She plays the piano and enjoys reading, computer games and traveling.
