Right-of-way Permits and Applications
Construction work performed within the city's right-of-way must be inspected by the Public Works Department. This includes sidewalk, driveway aprons, curb, gutter, storm drainage, sewer line tie-ins, water main tie-ins, street construction and/or repairs and street cuts.
The City of Fairfield's Design, Construction & Materials Specification Handbook is available in PDF format.
Revocable encroachment permits are required when any person desires to occupy any portion of a street, alley, sidewalk or other public place in connection with the erection or construction within the public right-of-way.
