Welcome to the home page of the Fairfield Public Utilities Department!

The Fairfield Public Utilities Department provides water and sanitary sewer services to a population of over 44,000. The City also maintains over 350 miles of water and sewer mains and all other related facilities. The primary objectives of the Public Utilities Department are to:

  • protect public health and safety;
  • protect the environment;
  • provide exceptional customer service; and
  • provide stable and cost-effective rates

The Fairfield Public Utilities Department is focused on operating efficiently and is committed to maintaining and updating the water and sewer infrastructure throughout the City.
