The Fairfield Fire Department operates out of 3 stations across the city:

The City of Fairfield’s Fire Headquarters, located at 375 Nilles Road, was dedicated in May 1990. and serves a dual purpose as the administrative headquarters for the Department and as district operations for Fire Station 31.

The 12,500 facility includes:

  • 4,200 square feet of apparatus storage,
  • A 400-square-foot fitness facility
  • Kitchen
  • Dormitory facilities for 10 personnel
  • 5,000 square feet of administrative offices
  • A 1,500-square-foot training room for Fire Department personnel
  • A 600-square-foot meeting room used from public meetings and activities

This station also houses the department’s pump-testing facility and the SCBA maintenance facility for the department.

The station is equipped with:

  • Quint 31 (Q31) - 2017 E-One pumper/aerial combination equipped with a 1,500 gallon-per-minute (GPM) pump and 78-foot aerial with a pre-piped waterway
  • Medic 31 (M31) - 2015 Horton International ambulance
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS31) - 2017 Ford Explorer ALS vehicle
  • Mobile Command 31 (MCU31) -  A support services unit
  • Utility 31 (U31) - 2014 ¾-ton pickup that serves as a utility vehicle
  • Boat 31 (B31) - Water rescue boat
  • Car 3101 (Fire Chief), C3102 (Deputy Chief) & C3103 (Deputy Chief)IMG_4249

Fairfield’s Station 32, located at 6540 Dixie Highway, was dedicated in July 1999.

The 11,400-square-foot facility sits on a 2-acre site located in the eastern portion of the City of Fairfield and is comprised of:

  • 4,500 square feet of apparatus storage
  • 400-square-foot fitness facility
  • Kitchen and dayroom
  • Dormitory facilities for 10 personnel
  • 800 square feet of district offices
  • A 600-square-foot meeting room used for public meetings and activities

  • Quint 32 (Q32) - 2000 E-One pumper/aerial combination equipped with a 1,000 GPM pump and 75-foot aerial with a pre-piped waterway
  • Medic 32 (M32) - 2018 Horton International ambulance
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS32) - 2017 Ford Explorer ALS vehicle
  • Quint 34 (Q34) - 1998 E-One pumper/aerial combination equipped with a 1,000 GPM pump and 75-foot aerial with a pre-piped waterway (reserve unit)
  • Engine 34 (E34) - 2004 E-One pumper with a 1500 GPM pump (reserve unit)
  • The paramedic bicycle program is operated from this station

Station 33, located at 6118 Winton Road, was dedicated in 1978 and expanded in 2002.

The 7,200-square-foot facility sits on a 1-acre site located in the south-central portion of the City of Fairfield and includes.

  • 3,000 square feet of apparatus storage
  • Kitchen and dayroom
  • Dormitory facilities for 10
  • 288 square feet of district offices.

The station is equipped with:

  • Engine 33 (E33) - 2021 E-One pumper equipped with a 1,509 GPM pump
  • Rescue 33 (R33) - 2001 Saulsbury Heavy Rescue unit
  • Medic 33 (M33) - 2021 Horton International ambulance 
  • Medic 34 (M34) - 2009 Horton International ambulance (reserve unit)

This station also serves as the district office for the assigned career shift supervisor, District 33 or D-33.
