Tracy is assigned to the position of District 33 / Unit 1. As District 33 he is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the department which includes the scheduling of all career and part time personnel assigned to his unit day, assigning personnel to district stations as well as scheduling the day's activities such as training, public education, and maintenance of apparatus and facilities. As District 33 Tracy responds to all fire and emergency medical calls where additional management personnel may be required and in the absence of the Fire Chief, serves as the Incident Commander at the scene.
Tracy also serves as Fairfield Fire Department's Supply and Logistics Manager responsible for the purchase of uniforms, personal protective equipment, and the consumable supplies necessary to support the day to day operations of the department.
Background
Tracy's fire career began with the City of Fairfield Fire Department in 1984 as a volunteer firefighter/EMT. As the department transitioned to part-time staffing, Tracy was later promoted to a part-time Lieutenant in 1985. In 1993, he was hired as one of the first career Fire Captains for the department.
Tracy has taken numerous classes at the Ohio Fire Academy and the National Fire Academy. Tracy completed the Ohio Fire Executive Program in June of 2015. He currently serves as a Hazardous Materials Technician with the Greater Cincinnati Hazardous Materials Team. Tracy is also a Fire Service Instructor and is currently teaching at Butler Technology Career Center for both the high school and adult education programs. Tracy is also a Fire Safety Inspector.
Personal Interests/Family
Tracy has been married to his wife Tracy (McClusky) since 2008. They enjoy traveling, watching and attending sporting events, boating on Norris Lake, and spending time with their family. Tracy has two daughters, Tara Cecil (Donovan) and Lauren Helton (Donovan), and a stepson Austin Smith. Tracy currently has 3 grandchildren, Brady Cecil, Kenley Cecil, and Kylee Helton.
