When an opening occurs, online applications for that specific position are reviewed and candidates who meet established qualifications are contacted. If you applied for a Civil Service classified position, you will be notified by email confirming the date, time and location of the exam once the deadline for applications has passed. Generally, within two weeks after the examination, you will receive a notice of your test score. Once approved by the Civil Service Commission, the certified list of applicants is given to the hiring manager who contacts the applicants directly in order of placement on the certified eligibility list.
