The renovation of Harbin Park began in 2017 as multi-year effort to upgrade one of the City's premier parks. In 2016 a concept master plan was developed, with input from public meetings and in 2017 three buildings were demolished to make way for the first stage of the planned improvements. The City was awarded $1 million in State Capital Funding to assist with the project costs.
