Responsibilities
Serving as Fairfield’s Economic Development
Manager, Nathaniel acts as the primary liaison between the city and its
business community. His primary
assignments include the attraction of new business, the retention of existing
businesses, and the implementation of redevelopment strategies. Nathaniel also
represents the city on the board of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.
Background
Nathaniel started his career at the Ohio Department of Development where he managed tax incentive and urban
revitalization programs. Nathaniel most recently worked for the Mid-Ohio
Regional Planning Commission, where he focused on advancing infrastructure
projects to support economic growth. Nathaniel started with the City of Fairfield in 2019.
Nathaniel holds a B.A. from Miami University in Oxford and a Masters of City & Regional Planning from The Ohio State University in Columbus. Nathaniel is certified as an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) and by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
Nathaniel is active in the Ohio Economic Development Association (OEDA), the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), and the American Planning Association (APA). Nathaniel is also a 2019 graduate of Leadership Ohio.
