The Fairfield Historical Society and the Four Seasons Garden Club combine their talent to present exhibits and events focusing on life as it was in the 1800’s and early 1900’s. Saturday’s events include a vintage baseball game, guided tours of the Elisha Morgan Mansion and the Heritage Gardens, plus interactive exhibits featuring local crafts people. Tuesday’s event includes an in-depth look at the history of the mansion and the families that called it home.

Thomas O. Marsh Park Fishing Lake is a natural spring fed lake with over 4,000 feet of accessible shoreline. Regularly stocked throughout the season, the lake is home to carp, catfish, crappie, bass, bluegill, northern pike, perch, trout and walleye.

Forum on Addiction - "Connecting the Community to Hope"

The public is invited to the Fairfield Opiate Task Force's "Forum on Addiction - Connecting the Community to Hope" on Wednesday, May 8, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Mercy HealthPlex. Admission is free. Refreshments will be served. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Mercy Health Director of Operations for Behavioral Health Services, Dr. Navdeep Kang, will be the keynote speaker. Dr. Kang has worked to build a regional collaborative network to treat addiction and develop a comprehensive continuum of care for patients struggling with opiate addiction. Local agencies that support people in recovery from addiction will also be part of this forum. Representatives will be present to share information and answer questions.

About RASKALS Random Acts of Simple Kindness Affecting Local Seniors (RASKALS) began in West Chester in 1996 when 11-year-old Emily Weber sent a letter to the township administrator searching for a project that would help her community. That initial desire evolved into what has become a twice-a-year event. Fall cleanup is the first Saturday in November (11/2/19). Chores include: - Raking leaves - Weeding flower beds - Picking up twigs and sticks - Washing first floor windows - Sweeping sidewalks - Trimming bushes and shrubs Volunteer to help out senior citizens right here in the City of Fairfield.

Know a senior citizen that needs help with grocery shopping? The City of Fairfield, Ohio - Government's annual Spring Raskals 2020 (Random Acts of Kindness Affecting Local Seniors) will be utilized as a free grocery delivery opportunity for local Fairfield senior citizens. Grocery shopping might seem like a routine chore, however, it quickly has become a task that many senior citizens and others have been warned to avoid as “social distancing” is encouraged. If you are a senior interested, or know a senior who needs this service, please reach out to the volunteer coordinator, Brittany Theilman, at btheilman@fairfieldoh.gov or call the Fairfield Community Arts Center at 513-867-5348.

Creeks provide a necessary source of water for wildlife, as well as a great habitat for the animals that call the area home. Let’s investigate and learn about the animals that live there! Red, White & KaBOOM!

Red, White & KaBOOM celebrates Independence Day in Fairfield with an amazing fireworks display from Rozzi Famous Fireworks! Due to current orders regarding large gatherings, we are only holding the fireworks show. Rozzi is working on a special show that will be higher and easier to view throughout the City. All other Parks and Recreation organized concerts and activities have been cancelled and the parks will close at dusk.
