Biography

Gwen Brill was born in Lexington, Kentucky, and moved to Fairfield Township when she was three years old. She has been a resident of Fairfield for over 40 years and married to her best friend and lifelong Fairfield resident, Mike Brill, for 42 years. Together, they have two daughters and three grandchildren.  

Education

Gwen graduated from Fairfield Senior High School. She earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Education from Eastern Kentucky University and a Masters of Business Administration with a Finance concentration from Xavier University.

Professional

Launching her career in the education field, Gwen has taught various software and accounting courses for GE, University of Cincinnati, and Miami University.  She also taught business and finance at Edgewood High School, Fairfield Senior High School, and Lakota Freshman School.  Launching her own business as a software educational consultant, she ended her career back at GE Aviation, retiring in 2019 where she spent the bulk of her tenure in various Financial Analyst roles and Military Spare Part Sales.

Community Involvement

Gwen served two terms on the Fairfield City Charter Review Commission.  She has been an active volunteer through corporate leadership sponsored community outreach programs.  Gwen has volunteered in Fairfield classrooms working with students, leadership roles in Girl Scouting and Heritage Girls, and coached the Girls Tennis team at Fairfield Middle School.
