Jamison is assigned as a Training Lieutenant / Unit 3. His responsibilities are to oversee daily operations of the crew at Station 31, respond to fire and EMS incidents on front-line apparatus and fills in for one of the three career captains as District 33. His administrative duties include being assigned to the department's Training Division, where he is responsible for fire training for all Unit 3 personnel.
Background
Jamison's fire career with the City of Fairfield began in July, 1993 when he was hired as a part-time Firefighter/EMT. He became a full-time Firefighter/Paramedic in April, 1999 and was promoted to Fire Lieutenant in January, 2007.
Jamison graduated from Fairfield High School in 1992 and the University of Cincinnati Paramedic Program in 2001. He has attended multiple classes through the Ohio Fire Academy as well as the National Fire Academy. Jamison is a 2012 graduate of the 2.5-year Ohio Fire Executive (OFE) Program put on by the Ohio Fire Chiefs' Association.
In 2006, Jamison was named Firefighter of the Year by the Fairfield Exchange club. He was awarded the City of Fairfield Star Award in 2005 and 2008 and was named Fairfield Employee of the Year in 2005.
Jamison currently holds the following certifications: Professional Firefighter Level II, EMT-Paramedic, Fire Safety Inspector Certification, Fire Instructor Certification, Basic Fire Investigator, Ice Rescue Technician Instructor, Fire Officer I Certification, Hazardous Materials Technician, Weapons of Mass Destruction Hazmat Tech, and Incident Command System (ICS) 300/400 Instructor. Jamison is also a member of the Greater Cincinnati Hazardous Materials Unit.
Personal Interests
Jamison enjoys working out, running, and travel. He has competed in the Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge annually since 2006 and has run the Flying Pig Marathon (relay and half) several times.
