Income Tax
All Fairfield residents between the ages of 18-65 (including part year residents), residents over the age of 65 with income taxable to the city (or loss), businesses conducting business in Fairfield, employees working in Fairfield whose employer failed to fully withhold Fairfield taxes, and non-residents with income or losses from self-employment and/or rental property earned within the city limits are required by City Ordinance to file a Fairfield tax return each year.
FOR TAX YEARS 2021 & PRIOR: All residents, including retirees over 65, are required to file a tax return.

Businesses:
- -Completed business return
- -Federal tax return
- -Any supporting statements, schedules, or other documentation
Employer Withholding Reconciliations:

The Income Tax Division is located at 701 Wessel Drive, Fairfield, OH 45014. The office is in the Annex Building, which is behind the Municipal Building. Parking for the Income Tax Division is shared with Veterans Memorial Park.

The City of Fairfield Income Tax Division staff will be happy to assist with the completion of your individual City of Fairfield Tax Return at no charge. The office is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm on a walk-in basis. Bring all necessary documents (Federal 1040, W-2(s), and supporting documents/schedules).
Filing early is highly recommended, as requests for assistance from the Tax Division increase dramatically as the tax filing deadline approaches and wait times can be extensive.
