Huffman Park, 2100 John Gray Rd.
Step into a wonderland with our StoryWalk Hikes, a magical blend of outdoor adventure and storytelling! Perfect for families, nature lovers, and bookworms of all ages, this festive experience invites you to stroll along a paved trail while reading pages of a humorous holiday children’s fiction book, one stop at a time.
What to Expect: Follow a trail lined with laminated pages from a beloved book. Each station reveals a new part of the story, encouraging movement, curiosity, and togetherness.
Why It’s Special:
- Combines literacy, exercise, and holiday cheer in one unforgettable outing.
- Encourages families to unplug and reconnect in nature.
- Sparks imagination and joy through storytelling and exploration.
Scheduled Displays:
Some of the displays were damaged during the winter weather, so we’ve removed them for now. We’re working on a more permanent and durable display solution that will make StoryWalk an even better long-term feature of the park, and will share updates here and on social media when the next displays are installed.
The Odd Dog

No longer on display due to damage from the weather
With charming watercolor illustrations, The Odd Dog follows a delightfully quirky pup as she navigates the ups and downs of joining a new family. It’s a sweet and silly tale about embracing differences, finding love, and learning where you truly belong.
