Thefts from Vehicles

Broken Car Window

Thefts from vehicles represent the most reported crime in the City of Fairfield. These types of thefts occur in all areas of the city and at all hours of the day. Most of these thefts involve the removal of items that are left in plain view, and it takes the thief only a few seconds to commit the crime.

The number of thefts from vehicles in our city could be significantly decreased if owners would simply remove valuable items from their vehicles. These items include:

  • GPS devices
  • Laptop computers
  • Music discs
  • Purses
  • Tools
  • Etc.
