Program Policies

To ensure fairness and the smooth operation of our programs, the following polices have been adopted for programs, classes and camps. For a list of all our Polices and Procedures click here. 

Registration Payment

  • All fees must be paid at time of registration. Cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover will be accepted.  
  • A charge of $25 will be assessed on all returned checks.
  • A "resident" is defined as an individual living within the city limits or an individual working within the city limits and having City of Fairfield income tax withheld.

Online Registration

Explore and register for classes, programs, camps, and theater shows at https://www.explore.fairfieldoh.gov/.  

Walk-in Registration

Walk-in registration for programs is held at the Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department Office inside the Fairfield Community Arts Center located at 411 Wessel Drive. Registration may be made Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. See the Registration Form (PDF).

Phone-in Registration

Phone-in registration for programs may be made Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Register by calling 513-867-5348. Please have all registration information ready when you call.  Payment method is by credit or debit card.

Mail-in Registration

Mail-in registration for programs may be made by completing registration form and mailing payment to the Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department, 411 Wessel Drive. Fees for programs must be paid at the time of registration. Please do not send cash in the mail. Make checks payable to: City of Fairfield. A receipt will be mailed to confirm that registration was received. You may also call the Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department Office at 513-867-5348 for confirmation. Waiting List

If the program requested is full, the individual will be notified and placed on a waiting list. As openings become available, the program will be filled from the waiting list.

Schedule Changes & Cancellation

The Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel, combine, or divide programs; to change time, date or location of programs; and to change instructor assignment. If a program, class or camp is cancelled due to inclement weather etc. announcements will be made through one or more of the following: social media, city website, signage at facilities. Information will also be available on the automated hotline at 513-896-8400.

Program Withdrawal & Refund Policy

Full refunds will be issued when the Fairfield Parks and Recreations Department cancels the program. Refunds will not be given if requested less than 7 days prior to the start of the program. All refunds, transfers or changes will be assessed a $5 Administrative Processing Fee (unless initiated by the Parks and Recreation Department). If payment was made by cash or check, please allow up to 4 weeks to receive refund.

Photos of Participants

The Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to photograph program participants for publicity purposes. These photos are for city use only and may be used in future promotional materials without prior consent or expectation of compensation.

Scholarships

Scholarship opportunities are available to give residents of all ages the opportunity to participate in programs at the Fairfield Community Arts Center. Under the program 50% matching scholarships are available through the Megan Filipek Scholarship Fund, established in memory of former lifeguard and clerk Megan Filipek.
